30-Day Residential Certification Retreats
Gaia Gathering offers occupational certification retreats through our residential training programs at Starr Horse Retreats and Arenas, located in Minden, Nevada.
Residents of our occupational training retreats have private rooms in either the Chalet or Bunkhouse on our 30-acre equestrian facility. We offer nutritious meals, hands-on training, optional field trips, and ancillary activities for integration. Every participant has access to our resident therapist for emotional, mental, and spiritual support during their stay.
Our program is limited to six participants per month enabling interdisciplinary study customized according to the interest of each individual resident.
Positive Reinforcement Horse Training and Equine-Assisted Education Certification
Do you want to start your career in the field of horse training? Or are you a current horse trainer looking for kinder methods? Maybe you are a horse owner and want to learn training techniques that align with your ethical values. There is a growing awareness in the equine world that there is a better way to train horses than the traditional protocol of using fear and pain. Our positive reinforcement (R+) horse training certification retreat combines the knowledge and application for honoring horses and healing humans into one program. This course dives into science-based, holistic horsemanship training with our Whole Horse, Whole Human program. Our program combines R+ training techniques and Horse-Human-Ship healing into a fully comprehensive certificate of graduation for a career in horse training.
Holistic Healing Practitioner Certification
This course teaches holistic healing modalities for the mind, body, and spirit. Residents learn a toolbox of knowledge to help their clients with past grief healing, PTSD, trauma, and depression. Instructors walk residents through all the steps required to start their own holistic healing business.

Integrative Transformational Life Coaching Certification Program
Start your own transformational life coaching business. As a life coach, you will aid your clients in improving their relationships, careers, and day-to-day lives. You will help clients set goals, identify obstacles and develop strategies for success. You will find clients' unique skills and gifts, and provide support for long-lasting change. Participants of this course will learn an integrative approach for transformational life coaching with specialized areas of study depending on resident interests.
